Russia's war against our country made it necessary to review the existing approaches to training police officers in higher education institutions with specific learning conditions. Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs under the leadership of the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine implements new innovative methods of working with cadets, pays a lot of attention to the practical component of training future defenders of the rights and freedoms of citizens, the interests of the state, and its territorial integrity.

The 2nd year cadets of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, together with the psychologist of the personnel department Anna Yarovaia, took part in the events dedicated to the World Mental Health Day. The meeting was held online by the European Union Advisory Mission for Reforming the Civil Security Sector of Ukraine (EUAM).

In order to implement measures to prevent and counter corruption, control over their implementation in accordance with the instruction of KhNUIA dated 07.11.2022 No. 46 "On assessment of corruption risks and preparation of the anti-corruption program of KhNUIA for 2023-2025", guided by Article 19 of the Law of Ukraine "On Prevention of Corruption" » the evaluation of corruption risks in the activity of KhNUIA in the format of a self-assessment has been started.

Nataliia Olendra, a lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​of the Faculty No. 4, held a career orientation meeting with students of the 11-A and 11-B classes of Kamianets-Podilskyi Lyceum No. 17. During the meeting, she told the high school students about the faculties and specialties for which specialists are trained.

To strengthen the practical component of the educational process of future lawyers, a binary class was held on the topic "Psychological types of clients and peculiarities of communication with them", organized by the Associate Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy branch of KhNUIA Maryna Vasylenko, with the participation of a lawyer from the legal department of the "Operator of the Gas Transport System of Ukraine" LLC Maryna Kovalenko, Kyiv.

Second-year students of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Dmytro Kotov (specialty "Law enforcement") and Kiril Krupskyi (specialty "Law") as part of the Ukrainian national team at the European Sumo Championship held in the city of Rakvere (Estonia) won two five medals - three "gold" and two "silver".

Professor of the Department of Law Enforcement and Policing of the Faculty No. 6 Olena Syniavska and Associate Professor of the Department of Humanitarian Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA Yuliia Samoilova took part in the online training in English "2002/2022/ONL Police English Language" on the LEEd CEPOL online educational platform, developed by the Agency of the European Union for the Training of Law Enforcement Agencies (CEPOL) together with the British Language Centre.

2nd-year cadet of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Tetiana Veremiienko won the 1st place in Sumy Open Wrestling Championship. The event was held by the department of physical culture and sports of Sumy City Council in the regional children's and youth sports school.

Associate Professor of the Department of Humanitarian Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA Tetiana Bilous took part in the seminar "Horizon Europe for Ukraine", organized by the Scientist Support Office at the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Moderator of the project is Vladyslav Sikora.

Nataliia Olendra, a lecturer of the Department of Foreign Languages ​​of the Faculty No. 4, has undergone training on expanding the possibilities of using digital tools for organizing distance learning at the courses for improving the qualifications of pedagogical, scientific and pedagogical workers, professional pre-university and higher education "Google Digital Tools for Education".
