Cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in the open championship of Kharkiv region in sambo wrestling among juniors. In a rather fierce battle, KhNUIA athletes showed an excellent result and became the winners and prize-winners of the championship:

I place – 1^st year cadet of the Faculty № 1 Alisa Kaniuk in weight category up to 59 kg;

I place – 2^nd year cadet of the Faculty № 1 Victor Bytov in weight category up to 64 kg;

I place – 3^rd year cadet of the Faculty № 1 Illia Petrakov in weight category up to 88 kg;

II place – 2^nd year cadet of the Faculty № 2 Vasyl Sydor in weight category up to 79 kg;

III place – 1^st year cadet of the Faculty № 1 Danylo Cherkashyn in weight category up to 71 kg;

III place – 1^st year cadet of the Faculty № 1 Maksym Kasai in weight category up to 88 kg.

Based on the results of this competition, the national team of Kharkiv region will be formed.
