
Kyrylo Cherevko, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology at the ERI No. 1, took the course “Introduction to War Crimes Investigation” conducted by the Commission on International Justice and Accountability for police practitioners and teachers of higher education institutions with specific training conditions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

For the students of the ERI No. 1, the class was conducted by Vitalii Kavkalo, Head of the Human Rights Sector of Kamianets-Podilskyi District Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Khmelnytskyi Region, and Olena Martovytska, Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Organization of Pre-trial Investigation.

For the students of the ERI No. 2, the lesson was conducted by Olha Mazur, an employee of the Investigation Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Vinnytsia Region, together with Oleksandr Yukhno, Professor of the Department of Criminalistics, Forensic Science and Pre-medical Training of the Educational and Research Institute No. 1.

The curators of the educational work of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work told about the history of the university, about the fact that due to the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine and active hostilities, the university was forced to relocate from Kharkiv to other regions of Ukraine to continue the educational process in safe conditions.

Olena Makarova, Associate Professor of the Department, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor, emphasized the importance of the role of the scientific club in the training of future specialists. She noted that scientific research provides an opportunity for higher education students to study the theoretical aspects of forensic science and gain practical skills.

At the initiative of Ivan Krytsak, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the ERI №1, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor, the academic staff of the department successfully completed the course “Preparation and Implementation of Community Development Projects” from the Association of Ukrainian Cities through the Prometheus platform of mass open online courses.

The WAKO World Youth Kickboxing Championships took place in Budapest (Hungary), in which Roman Pshenychnyi, a 2nd year cadet of the Educational and Research Institute №1 of KhNUIA, took part as a participant of the national team of Ukraine.
