On January 16, Ukraine has the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Donetsk Airport. Graduates of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs honored the memory of servicemen and volunteers who showed courage and heroism for 242 days while defending Donetsk airport. As a sign of respect and gratitude for their bravery, the cadets put flowers at the memorial.
Representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs - First Vice-Rector Oleksandr Morhunov, Vice-Rector Anatolii Klochko, Dean of the Faculty No. 2 Ihor Nazarenko, Dean of the Faculty No. 3 Hennadii Zvirianskyi, course officers and staff of the university once again joined the donor movement and donated blood and its components for the needs military personnel.
Maryna Petchenko, associate professor of the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines of the Faculty No. 2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, held a career orientation meeting with director Tetiana Oderii and representatives of Kremenchuk Lyceum No. 4 "Kremin".

Every year, celebrating together, we are united by love for our native land and our history, respect and honor for Ukrainian traditions, customs and cultural heritage of our people.
Donating in time of war is one of the most important ways to save the lives of our wounded warriors. From the first days of the Russian aggression, Ukrainians formed queues for blood service centers. The staff and cadets of the university and its structural subdivisions — Sumy branch, Kremenchuk Flight College — have been and remain active participants in the donor movement for many years.
Police lieutenant colonel Oleksii Serdiuk, head of the Research Laboratory on Combating Crime, and police colonel Vladyslav Shendryk, head of the Department of Operative Investigative Activity and Crime Detection of the Faculty No. 2, checked the cadets' of the 2-4 courses practice in Kharkiv district police department. No. 2 of the MDNP in Kharkiv region.
Inspections of KhNUIA cadets' training practice and internships are ongoing. Nataliia Yelnikova, a senior lecturer at the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Faculty No. 2, checked third-year cadets' practice of the Faculty No. 2 in Kharkiv District Police Departments No. 1 and No. 3 of the MDNP in Kharkiv region.
Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines of the Faculty No. 2 of KhNUIA, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Maryna Petchenko completed a professional development course on "Leadership during the war", which was held on the basis of Poltava State Agrarian University.
The staff and cadets of Faculties No. 2 and No. 3 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs visited one of the medical institutions of Vinnytsia region, where servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine are being treated after injuries. The cadets congratulated the soldiers on the winter holidays and gave them New Year's gifts.
Olha Bezpalova, Head of the Department of Police Activity and Public Administration of the Faculty No. 3, and Vladyslav Shendryk, Head of the Department of Operational Investigation and Crime Detection of the Faculty No. 2, visited Police Department No. 1 of the District Police Department No. 1 of the MDNP in Poltava Region.
