On the day of the 38th anniversary of Chornobyl nuclear power plant accident, cadets, students and employees of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs at all locations of the higher education institution - in Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy and Poltava regions - honored the memory of the victims of the largest nuclear disaster that claimed the lives of thousands of people and caused irreparable damage to the environment.
For the purpose of military and patriotic education, popularization and promotion of sports among higher education students, development of physical and moral qualities of future employees of the National Police of Ukraine, a joint training of the national team of the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine in hand-to-hand combat and the national team of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in Thai boxing, K-1, kickboxing was held on the basis of KhNUIA.
Stanislav Ivanov, Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Faculty No. 1, held a regular meeting of the scientific club. The participants discussed topical issues related to Russia's large-scale aggression against Ukraine and changes in the international security system. Students of Faculties 2 and 3 made presentations on the causes of the Russian-Ukrainian war and its impact on the transformation of international security.
Natalia Pavlenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines, and Pavlo Mitrukhov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Investigative Activities and Crime Solution of the Faculty № 2, Police Major, conducted a binary class on "Using the Laws of Logic in Legal Activities" for the cadets of the Faculty № 2.
With the assistance of Volodymyr Yuzko, Director of Khotyn Professional College of the Higher Education Institution "Podilskyi State University", representatives of KhNUIA held a career guidance meeting with students majoring in Accounting and Taxation.
The Vice-Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Oleksandr Muzychuk, addressing the cadets who were directly involved in this project, said: "A brutal war is going on. The country is losing its best sons and daughters. An exposition dedicated to the fallen graduates of the university has been created in the classroom, and a book about them - our Heroes - will be presented in the near future."
The cadets of the Faculty No. 2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, who are studying in the specialties "Law" and "Law Enforcement", continue to master their future profession by taking an active part in the activities of the Legal Clinic of KhNUIA in Vinnytsia.
A regular consultation meeting was held for local councils and residents of territorial communities of Vinnytsia region on the topic "Access of local government employees to state databases". The event was held within the framework of cooperation between Vinnytsia branch of KhNUIA Legal Clinic and Vinnytsia Regional Association of Local Governments and the Regional Center for Free Secondary Legal Aid in Vinnytsia Region.
In order to study the current issues of medical and premedical training of specialists in the security and defense sector of Ukraine under martial law, tactical medicine instructor, combatant Yevhen Maistruk together with Vladyslav Burkhailo, a lecturer at the Department of Tactical and Special Physical Training, conducted a binary lesson for cadets of Faculties 2 and 3.
Diana Dziuba, a 1st year cadet of the Faculty № 2 of KhNUIA, took part in the Ukrainian Boxing Championship among students of higher education institutions, which took place from April 16 to 20 in Uman, Cherkasy region. According to the results of the competition, Diana took the second place in the weight category up to 50 kg.
