A regular meeting of the Academic Council took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The first issue on the agenda was the election of the Chairman of the Council and the appointment of a new membership. The members of the council gave the rector of the university Valerii Sokurenko a vote of confidence, who was unanimously re-elected as the Chairman of the Academic Council.

During the meeting, scholars discussed the work of academic councils of university faculties, organizational and personnel issues, decided to amend the educational programs of KhNUVS of the second (master's) level of higher education in the specialty 081 "Law", approved the Regulations on holding an annual competition of scientific works among applicants for higher education of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs on the occasion of the University Foundation Day, etc.

The Rector presented certificates to the staff who have been awarded the academic titles of professor and associate professor:

Vadym Bezusov - Professor of the Department of Legal Support of Economic Activity;

Andrii Khankevych - Professor of the Department of Investigative Activities and Crime Solution;

Anatolii Shulza - Professor of the Department of Fundamental and Legal Sciences;

Iryna Bandurka - Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology;

Nataliia Shyshka - Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Legal Disciplines.

Diplomas of the Candidate of Legal Sciences were handed over to:

Viacheslav Smyrnov - Candidate of Law, majoring in criminal procedure and criminalistics; forensic examination; operational investigative activities;

Kateryna Shevtsova - Candidate of Law, majoring in criminal procedure and criminalistics; forensic examination; operational and investigative activities.

Valerii Sokurenko also presented awards to university staff for significant achievements in training highly qualified personnel, conscientious and impeccable service to the Ukrainian people:

Diploma of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine - Honored Worker of Science and Technology of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, Head of the Department of Police Activity and Public Administration of the Faculty №3 Olha Bezpalova;

Diploma of Kharkiv Regional Council - Senior Researcher of the Research Laboratory for Combating Crime Valerii Moskavets, Gratitude of Kharkiv Regional Council - Associate Professor of Civil Law and Procedure of the Faculty №6 Ella Vakulovich.

Diploma of the Head of Slobidskyi District Administration of Kharkiv City Council:

• Tetiana Kolisnichenko, an Accountant of the Division for Servicing Units maintained at the expense of the special fund, the Department of Financial Support and Accounting;
• Roman Shcherbak, Head of the Department of the Information Technology.

Diploma of the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine - Associate Professor of Criminology, Forensic Expertise and Pre-medical Training of the Faculty №1 Lieutenant Colonel of Police Tetiana Matiushkova.

Diploma of Kharkiv regional organization of the Union of Lawyers of Ukraine:

• Serhii Ternytskyi, Police Lieutenant Colonel, Head of the monitoring department of Department of Human Resources;
