The 7th All-Ukrainian weightlifting tournament dedicated to the memory of Colonel-General of Artillery Vasyl Petrov took place in Zaporizhia. About 100 athletes of national teams of law enforcement agencies of Ukraine took part in the competition.

According to the results of the individual competition, the cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs won the following places:

in the weight category up to 60 kg:

Second place – a second-year cadet of faculty № 1 Oleksii Boshtovyi (with the result of 146 points, the CMS standard);

in the weight category up to 65 kg:

ІІІ place - a first-year cadet of faculty № 2 Maksym Lytvynenko (with the result of 213 points, the standard of KMS);

in the weight category up to 75 kg:

Third place - a third-year cadet of faculty № 4 Illia Fedorenko (with the result of 272 points);

in the weight category up to 90 kg:

Third place - a second-year cadet of faculty № 1 Oleksii Medentsev (with the result of 291 points, the CMS standard).

The team of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took second place in the team event.

During the competition, six cadets of KhNUIA fulfilled the standard of Candidate Master of Sports of Ukraine in weightlifting.
