Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs hosted an online scientific-practical conference "Crime and combating it in a singularity: trends and innovations", dedicated to the memory of a member of the Board of the Criminological Association of Ukraine, Professor Tetiana Denysova.
The conference was opened by the Rector of the University Valerii Sokurenko. He noted that out of more than 200 participants in the scientific event, there are both recognized scientists and young scientists - graduate students, adjuncts, masters, cadets and students, as well as law enforcement practitioners. All of them explore topical, acute, debatable issues of crime and combating it in a singular environment. Addressing these issues will contribute to the development of criminological science in the new era, qualitative restoration of its methodology in a rapidly changing reality, knowledge of the truth based on deep ethical principles of communication in society and building an orderly system of views and principles of legal analysis. In the pages of their works, the authors raised extremely important, innovative, and, undoubtedly, topical issues of criminal law and criminological support for combating crime in a singular environment.

Summing up the conference, the Rector thanked everyone for participating in the scientific event and fruitful cooperation and noted that the conference will be a significant contribution to the development of a priority issue for Ukraine - combating crime in the modern world. He wished all participants new discoveries, interesting discussions and productive scientific research on how to increase the effectiveness of combating crime.
