The Investigative Department of MDNP in Kharkiv region conducted advanced training courses for criminologists inspectors. At the invitation of the Head of the Criminal Support Unit of the Investigative Department, Police Lieutenant Colonel
Bohdan Burbelo, representatives of the pedagogical staff of the Department of Criminalistics, Forensic Expertology and Premedical Training of Faculty No. 1 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs - Senior Lecturer of the Department Tetiana Bezsonna and Associate Professor of the Department Vasyl Korniienko - conducted classes on the courses.
The courses program was interesting and rich. Within three days, representatives of the University, together with experienced employees of the Investigative Department of MDNP in Kharkiv region, conducted training seminars and consultations on topical practical issues of legal and technical and criminology support of criminal investigations. In particular, the topics were considered: procedural, and tactical features of participation of specialists during conducting individual investigative actions, modern methods of forensic photo and video shooting, research of weapons and ammunition found on the scene, modeling the actions of the offender on the site of commissioning a criminal offense, etc.
Present inspectors-criminalists took an active part in discussions about typical shortcomings and errors that arise when inspecting the scene of an incident, fixing its results and handling of physical evidence.
Classes were held in an atmosphere of active participation and fruitful cooperation. Such meetings are very important for the scientific and pedagogical staff of the university, as they allow them to receive a request to intensify scientific searches in solving problematic issues of the practice of criminology support in combating crime.
