As part of the National Program of Mental Health and Psychosocial Support, initiated by the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, a group of psychologists from the Ministry of Internal Affairs units mastered the Israel Trauma And Resilience Center (Natal) program in Israel. Specialists of the Department of Psychological Support of the Personnel Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs developed the training program "Crisis and Growth: Mental Health and Help for Trauma Survivors" and conducted training for practical psychologists of higher education institutions with specific training conditions that train police officers.

The manual was developed by the staff of the department in order to widely distribute and master the basic methods and protocols of providing psychological first aid in wartime conditions, which were proposed by leading domestic and foreign scientists.
