Exactly two years ago, on March 11, 2022, a sad and tragic event shook the staff of our university. As a result of a direct hit of a shell in the house, the Assistant to the Rector, chairman of the university trade union organization, candidate of sociological sciences, police colonel Valerii Moskovets died. He was at home in Dergachi with his granddaughter Anastasia.

On the 210th anniversary of the birth of our famous poet, artist, and thinker Taras Shevchenko, Natalia Yelnikova, a senior lecturer at the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Faculty № 2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, remotely conducted a curator's hour "Shevchenko: Unknown about the Ukrainian Genius" for the cadets of the Faculty № 2 of the group 401.
This year we celebrate the 210th anniversary of the birth of Taras Shevchenko. It is impossible to overestimate the role and place of the great Kobzar in the history of Ukraine, its culture, art, literature, and in the life of every Ukrainian. We have known him since childhood.
