In the conditions of a modern information society, choosing a future profession is one of the most important stages in the life of every young citizen. It is with the aim of providing up-to-date information about the prospects of education and career growth in the field of law enforcement that an online career guidance event was organized for high school students of educational institutions of Cherkasy region.

The meeting was attended by the Directors of Educational and Research Institutes No. 1 and No. 4, Vitalii ROMANIUK and Mykola MARCHUK. The First Vice-Rector talked with the graduating cadets about the defense of internship materials, passing exams and further performance of official duties at the place of service.

In order to raise awareness among higher education applicants of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, cadets, as part of non-formal (informal) education, underwent training on the topics: "Declare!", "Honorable Police", "It's Clear About Conflict of Interest."

1st-year cadets of the ERI No. 3 Yevhenii NOVIKOV, Olha DOVHAN, Daria SALNICHENKO, Pavlo VYHOVSKYI and 2nd-year cadet of the ERI No. 4 Yevhenii TSISAR remotely participated in the brain-ring on the theory of state and law.

An online meeting with graduating students of schools in Kharkiv region and their parents was held by the Leading researcher of the Research laboratory on problems of information technologies and combating crime in cyberspace of the ERI No. 4, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor Yevhen HRINCHENKO.

The event, which took place at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, was organized within the framework of the flagship partnership of the EU and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine “EU4RECOVERY – Empowering Communities in Ukraine”.

EUAM representatives in Ukraine conducted a training of trainers course on the use of open source information (OSINT) and criminal investigations for the scientific and pedagogical staff of Departments, Research laboratories of the ERI No. 1-4, as well as cadets of the ERI No. 2-4 of KhNUIA.

For cadets of the ERI No. 4, studying in specialty 125 "Cybersecurity and Information Protection", a series of classes were held with a specialist in the field of criminal analysis, former Head of the Criminal Analysis Department of the National Police of Ukraine, Denys PEFTIIEV.

Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the ERI No. 1, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor, Police Lieutenant Colonel Ivan KRITSAK conducted a binary lesson on the academic discipline “Fundamentals of Legal Knowledge: Criminal Law” for first-year cadets of the ERI No. 4.

As part of the cooperation between Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, a first aid training was conducted for cadets of the Educational and Research Institutes No. 1 and No. 4. Its goal is to increase the level of awareness of future law enforcement officers regarding the provision of emergency care in critical situations.
