The Center for International Projects "Euroeducation" has studied Ukrainian higher education institutions - participants of the EU Horizon program projects in 2023

Every year, Ukrainian institutions actively participate in the EU's Horizon program, which promotes Ukraine's integration into the European Research Area. In 2023, 29 higher education institutions participated in EU Horizon projects, including: Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is the only institution among the higher education institutions in the security and defense sector.

The Horizon Europe Program Committee "Civilian Security for Society" is one of the committees operating within the framework of the European Union's Horizon Europe program (Brussels, Belgium). The committee is responsible for developing and implementing research and innovation in the field of civilian security to protect society from various threats.

International summer school under the Horizon 2020 program project "European Regional Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age" (EQUALS-EU)

The last week of the international summer school of the EQUALS-EU project was dedicated to the topic "Eliminating exclusion and promoting women's digital rights". The host, the Gender Center of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (Geneva, Switzerland), organized useful and interesting workshops and seminars: "Strategy development and advocacy processes for digital inclusion of women", "Writing gender-oriented policy documents for digital inclusion of women".

One of the objectives of the Horizon 2020 project "European Regional Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age" is to create sustainable and inclusive ecosystems of social innovation in local communities, cities in Europe and non-European countries in the Global South and North.

The annual World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) is a global multilateral platform to support implementation of the World Summit on the Information Society`s lines of action to promote the Sustainable Development Goals, organized by the International Telecommunication Union (a specialized agency of the United Nations), UNESCO, UNDP and UNCTAD (a of the UN General Assembly) in close cooperation with all coordinators and facilitators of the WSIS Action Lines and other UN organizations.
