The second round of the qualifying competitions was attended by students of the Educational and Research Institute №3, who competed according to the Olympic system up to two victories in the meeting. In a fierce struggle, the right to represent the team of the Educational and Research Institute №3 in the Open Rector's Cup of KhNUIA in airsoft was granted to the following teams: ERI 3-23-203, ERI 3-24-102, ERI 3-23-201.

The city of Kamianets-Podilskyi hosted the open WAKO kickboxing championship, which was attended by cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. They demonstrated a high level of training and sportsmanship, winning first place.

During the line-up, Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police General of the third rank Valerii SOKURENKO congratulated the cadets who received a full set of awards in the Ukrainian Sambo Championship.

The Director of the Educational and Research Institute №4 Mykola Marchuk presented certificates to the participants of the international scientific and practical conferences “Current trends in scientific research development”, “Future of science: innovations and perspectives” and “Science and technology: challenges, prospects and innovation”, which took place in Boston (USA), Stockholm (Sweden) and Osaka (Japan).

The strongest athletes of the country gathered at the Ukrainian Muay Thai Boxing Cup, which took place from January 29 to February 3, 2025 in Odesa. The cadets and master's students of the University demonstrated a real will to win, overcoming strong opponents and proving that perseverance and dedication bring results.

As part of the development of an effective system of information security measures in information and communication systems, a meeting was held on issues related to activities to prevent the leakage of restricted information through publicly available electronic resources of KhNUIA.

With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, Dmytro PETRENKO decided to defend his homeland and chose the specialty of sapper. He served in the 24th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after King Danylo Halytskyi, but in November 2023 he was seriously wounded.

Mykhailo INSHEKOV, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Special Physical Training of the ERI No. 2, and Kostiantyn BUTENKO, Senior Lecturer of the same department, met with the final year students of the Lyceum No. 66 of Kharkiv City Council. They familiarized the youth with the conditions of admission to the departmental higher education institution.

Ihor VLASENKO, Associate Professor of the Department of Tactical and Special Training of the ERI #2, took a course organized by the specialists of The HALO Trust in Ukraine. Its purpose is to train instructors to conduct preventive work on explosion safety for the public.

Students of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs have once again joined the volunteer activity of blood donation for military and civilians. Donation is not only a way to save lives, but also a way to demonstrate social responsibility and unity in difficult times.
