Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs celebrated the Day of Knowledge and the beginning of the new academic year with solemn events in all cities of Ukraine where the university's faculties were relocated due to the war - in Vinnytsia and Khmelnytskyi, as well as in Sumy branch and Kremenchuk Flight College.
On the Day of Knowledge, the First Vice-Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Oleksandr Morhunov visited Khmelnytskyi region, where university Faculties No. 1 and No. 4 are deployed.
Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology, Faculty No. 3, Viktoriia Dotsenko, as part of the "PORUCH" project, took part in the training for teachers of higher education institutions "Psychological injuries of war: how to recognize and provide competent help to students".
The team of 2nd year cadets of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs "Nezalezhni" consisting of Danylo Mykhailyk, Vadym Omelchenko, Vitalina Horoshko, Karolina Kozachok, Dmytro Yanenko and Andrii Seliuk took part in the youth game "Ask yourself".

Urgent issues regarding the university activity were submitted for consideration. Those present approved the composition of the Supervisory Board of KhNUIA, analyzed the results of recruitment to study at the university in 2022 under martial law, etc.
63 community police officers, who arrived from various divisions of the National Police Headquarters, completed their studies at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. This is another graduation of specialists trained by the university according to a new global model. The police officers completed training in general legal disciplines, pre-medical, tactical-special and fire training with the specialization "Community Police Officer".
Yuliia Zahumenna, Professor of the Department of Theory and History of the State and Law, Faculty No. 1, completed the international distance training "Scientific perspectives and innovations in education: experience of the Czech Republic" ("Scientific perspectives and innovations in education: experience of the Czech Republic") on the basis of the International Economic Institute for the duration – 180 hours.
Increasing the resistance of the state and society to the terrorist threat is an important element of ensuring national security as a whole. Increasing Ukraine's resilience to the terrorist threat requires a certain improvement of anti-terrorist legislation, updating the model of interaction of special services and law enforcement agencies with the population on issues of preventing and countering terrorism, as well as minimizing the consequences of terrorist attacks.
