Every year Ukraine honors the memory of the Heroes of Kruty. At the end of January 1918, four hundred students and high school students who heroically defended the young Ukrainian state were killed at the hands of the Bolshevik invaders in an unequal battle at Kruty railway station. Their feat is a symbol of patriotism and sacrifice of the Ukrainian people, who have always fought and continue to fight for the integrity and independence of the country.
Memorable January 1918...The Ukrainian revolution lasted for 10 months. The power of the Russian tzarism was overthrown, the statehood of Ukraine in the form of the Ukrainian People's Republic was restored, local authorities were established, and the Ukrainianization of education and culture took place. But a new enemy stood at the borders of Ukraine - Russian Bolshevism. The military power of the new Ukrainian state was insignificant and the help of a conscious national community was needed to defend the restored independence.
On January 28, 1992, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine approved the blue and yellow flag as the State Flag of Ukraine. Prior to this solemn date, the staff of the Department of Social and Humanitarian, Educational and Vocational Guidance of Kremenchuk Flight College, cadets and students symbolically put a huge Flag of Ukraine near the monument to Taras Shevchenko near the Dnieper embankment.
On the eve of the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of the Battle of Kruty, Scientific Library of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held a remembrance lesson for first year students "Kruty: through the Prism of the Past and Present".
An Open Day was held at Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The event brought together future entrants - 9-11 graders, their parents, teachers of secondary schools in Kremenchuk.
Within an academic mobility program between institutions of higher education belonging to the sphere of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, representatives of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs conducted for first-year cadets of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Artem Herbut, Daria Kolosnikova, Vadym Omelchenko, Kateryna Prisich and Victoriia Ivanchenko a tour around Mariupol.
Vadym Maltsev, Lecturer at the Department of Constitutional and International Law at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, visited Kharkiv Secondary School № 124 of I-III grades. During the meeting, university lecturer told future entrants about the rules of admission and features of study at KhNUIA.
Representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Sumy branch of KhNUIA and Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs took part in the interdepartmental online seminar "Traffic Light of European Union Politicians: Gender, Migration and Digitalization" held within the framework of an academic mobility program by Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs (Mariupol).
Tetiana Herashchenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanitarian Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, conducted a binary lesson on logic with students with the participation of practical police officers: police platoon № 3 troop of the Special Police Patrol Service “Sumy” MDNP in Sumy region, Police Corporal Bohdan Pilhui and police response sector of the patrol police of Shchastyn Regional Department of Police MDNP in Luhansk region, police corporal Oleksii Smolevskyi.
