Festive events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence began with the solemn laying of flowers to the Independence Monument on
Constitution Square. Valerii Sokurenko, Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police General of the 3-rd rank took part in them. Management of
Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Kharkiv regional and city councils, People's Deputies of Ukraine, representatives of various government agencies and
services, defence agencies, combatants, participants of anti-terrorist operation, representatives of public organizations, residents and guests of the city came to the
square to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the great holiday of nationhood.

The Department of Social and Humanitarian Affairs has prepared a video lecture "Ukraine is Your Name" dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence for first-year cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
