Representatives of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work of the University held informational and educational talks on the topic ‘Military Traditions of Ukraine’ for students of the Institute of Law and Order. In recent years, military symbols, rituals and traditions have regained their true historical basis.
The issues of conducting investigative (search) actions, in particular search and inspection, were considered by students of the study groups of the ERI No. 2 during the classes conducted by Valeriia Hnatenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure and Organisation of Pre-trial Investigation of the Institute of Education and Research No. 1, together with Oleksandr Hurin, Deputy Head of Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office.
During the training camp, the team of the tactical and special unit “SHIELD” marched over rough terrain, improved the actions of small tactical groups, camouflage, and operational movement. The cadets conducted mountaineering training: descending and ascending with climbing equipment, crossing obstacles.
The university continues weekly events aimed at socialization and rehabilitation of the military. Ihor Ostrovskyi, a senior lecturer at the Department of Special Physical Training of the ERI No. 2, conducted swimming lessons with combatant Serhii Vasyliev. This sport helps people with musculoskeletal injuries to restore physical activity.
The deputy commander of a department of one of the special police units of the Rapid Action Corps (KORD) told the graduate students of the graduate courses of the ERI №№2,3 about the tasks and functions of the unit, the peculiarities of professional selection, training and advanced training. The future law enforcement officers learned about the level of training of the unit's employees.
Students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in the Ukrainian Boxing Cup among the elite (men and women). Among women, cadets of the ERI #2 Diana Dziuba and Kira Dziuba became bronze champions in the weight category up to 52 kg.
Kyiv Invincibility Marathon 2024 took place on Trukhaniv Island in Kyiv, bringing together about 10,000 participants from both Ukraine and other countries. Among the marathoners were representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
The Rector of the University Valerii Sokurenko congratulated the cadets on their achievements in various sports competitions. The Police General noted that it is important for a police officer to be in good physical shape to perform their duties with dignity. The Rector wished the youth new victories and urged them to continue to keep the bar high in sports and education.
Leading specialist of the fire safety group of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Yurii Chukhrii familiarized the cadets with the basic rules of fire safety, reminded the requirements for fire safety in everyday life, and explained the algorithm of actions in case of a fire in the premises.
A binary lesson on the topic “Use of restraints” for the cadets of the ERI #2 was conducted by senior lecturers of the Department of Tactical and Special Training of the Educational and Research Institute #2 Oleksandr Skliar and Valerii Shvets together with a representative of the KORD special police unit.
