The history of the Faculty is inextricably linked with the history of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, for many years the faculty has been the flagship of our university, a pioneer in education, science and teaching work. Today the faculty is a modern scientific and educational center with a strong material and technical base, the latest technologies and a creative approach to learning. The team of lecturers preserves the unique scientific potential and long-standing traditions, continues to give young people a higher education. Just in the last 5 years (2016–2021), the faculty has trained 4,480 specialists of various levels of education, fields of knowledge and specialties.

A regular meeting of the scientific circle of the Department of Law-Enforcement Activity and Policeistics of the Faculty № 6 was held. The topic of the meeting was "Executive Power and Administrative Law".The meeting was opened by the head of the scientific circle, associate professor of law enforcement and police Victoria Melnyk.
On the eve of the 25th anniversary of faculty № 6 the Dean of the Faculty Oksana Brusakova and the Head of the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities of the same faculty Professor Volodymyr Grechenko prepared a monograph "By Growth and Search" (to the 25th anniversary of faculty № 6 KNUIA) under the general editorship of the Rector of the University, Doctor of Law, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Police General of the Third Rank Valerii Sokurenko.
Olena Shakhova, Kateryna Mannapova and Alla Moroz took part in the annual XIII International Scientific and Practical Psychotherapeutic Conference "Symphony of Gestals and Psychodrama".
Oksana Maliutina, the head of the preparatory department of the Faculty №6, held a meeting with the students of the EC №106, secondary school №129 and school №132 of Kharkiv. During the meeting, she gave a lecture on the basics of legal knowledge, acquainted students with the conditions of admission and study at KhNUIA and answered numerous questions.
