The memorable January of 1918... The Ukrainian Revolution had been going on for 10 months. The power of the Russian tsar was overthrown, the statehood of Ukraine was restored in the form of the Ukrainian People's Republic, local authorities were established, education and culture were Ukrainized, but a new enemy stood at the borders of Ukraine - Russian Bolshevism.

Commemorative events were held at all locations of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs on the occasion of Kruty Heroes Memorial Day. They were attended by the university management, employees, and students.

A video lecture with the participation of historian, head of the department of Kharkiv Historical Museum Kostiantyn Dubin was held for students of the Faculty № 6 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The lecturer presented the main facts about the events of January 1918, when the young defenders of Ukraine stood in the way of the advance of the troops of Bolshevik Russia.
