On May 31, 2023, Yevhen Shalenko, police colonel, USSR Master of Sports in the decathlon, who headed the Department of Physical Training since 1994, and from 1999 to 2003 - the Department of Special and Physical Training of the 4-6 faculties, passed away. He made a great contribution to the development of the departmental education system, including physical culture and sports, having trained many generations of law enforcement officers to be physically hardened, enduring, and ready to perform their duties related to crime prevention and protection of citizens' rights and freedoms.

The conference was opened by the Rector of the University, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honored Lawyer of Ukraine, Police General of the third rank Valerii Sokurenko. Addressing the audience, he noted that the aggressor's illegal actions are often accompanied by attacks on the Ukrainian segment of the information and cyberspace, creating conditions for committing other offenses.
