The Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Valerii Sokurenko received a letter of congratulations to the university staff from the President of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine Volodymyr Zhuravel, in which he, on behalf of the Presidium and legal scholars of the National Academy of Legal Sciences of Ukraine, congratulates them on the professional holiday of the Day of Lawyer of Ukraine.

On behalf of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko, Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police General of the third rank Valerii Sokurenko presented the departmental award - the badge "For the Security of the People" to the Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine Volodymyr Hrechenko.

To deepen the knowledge gained in the course of studying the discipline "Pre-medical Training", the cadets of the Faculty No. 2 visited Vinnytsia National Medical University named after M. Pirohov. During the excursion, the young men and women asked many questions and received comprehensive and thorough answers.

For the purpose of cultural and aesthetic education, students of the Faculties 2 and 3 attended the musical and poetic evening "Hosanna Autumn", which took place at Vinnytsia Regional Philharmonic named after M. Leontovych.

The academic staff and cadets of the Faculty No. 1, who are involved in the work of the legal clinic department of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in Kamianets-Podilskyi, met with Alina Zadorozhna, Deputy Head of Kamianets-Podilskyi Local Center for Free Secondary Legal Aid.

The cadets of the Faculty No. 3 took part in the event from the cycle "Meeting Place - Library" in Vinnytsia Regional Scientific Universal Library named after V. Otamanovskyi, where they met with a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war Andrii Bondarenko.

The Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Faculty No. 6, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine Volodymyr Hrechenko and Professor of the Department of Fundamental and Legal Disciplines of the same faculty, Doctor of Law Volodymyr Kyrychenko held a binary lesson with the 1st year students of Faculty No. 6, majoring in Law. The topic of the class was "Salic Truth - a monument of early feudal law of the Franks".

The professional holiday of lawyers has been celebrated in Ukraine since 1997. It was established by the relevant presidential decree "On the Day of Lawyer". It is believed that it was on October 8, 1016, that Prince Yaroslav the Wise of Kyiv issued the first code of laws "Rus' Truth", which covered all the most important issues of legal relations and is considered a valuable legal document of Eastern Europe in the Middle Ages.

Liudmyla Drozdova, a polygraph examiner of the All-Ukrainian Association of Polygraph Examiners, conducted a binary lesson on the topic "Specifics of a polygraph examiner's work during the war" for students of the Faculty No. 6, who are studying in the specialty "Psychology".

In cooperation with the Motorized Beehive volunteer center, representatives of Sumy branch of KhNUIA have been helping to make camouflage nets for our defenders since the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. "Weaving camouflage nets is another way to help our fighters, to protect ourselves and our equipment from the enemy," the boys and girls say.
