The participants honored the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, who gave their lives defending the principles of democracy, freedom and independence of Ukraine, and the right of Ukrainians to determine their future. The topic "Problems of legal support of the organization and activities of the National Police of Ukraine and other law enforcement agencies since the beginning of the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine" was offered for discussion.
Kseniia Hurtova, curator of the student group of the Faculty № 6, together with the students watched a movie dedicated to the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes. The film is dedicated to honoring the feat of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity and perpetuating the memory of brave compatriots who, at the cost of their own lives, enabled Ukraine to be an independent, democratic state.
The Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Valerii Sokurenko introduced the new Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Education of the University, PhD, Police Colonel Ihor Nazarenko, to the staff of the Institute. He has been serving in law enforcement agencies since 1992, has extensive experience in practical units of law enforcement agencies in Kharkiv region, and has held senior positions.
The Rector of the University Valerii Sokurenko introduced the new Dean to the staff of the Faculty No. 5 (distance learning for the National Police of Ukraine). Police Lieutenant Colonel Fedir Yatsenko was appointed to this position.
A class on Constitutional Law was held for the cadets of the Faculty No. 1 by Ivan Kharchenko, a lawyer and member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine, and Vadym Maltsev, a lecturer at the Department of Constitutional and International Law of the Faculty No. 4, Senior Police Lieutenant.
The Dean of the Faculty № 3, Police Major Hennadii Zvirianskyi held a working meeting with the Head of the Human Resources Department of Chernihiv Oblast Police, Police Major Vitalii Sandul. During the meeting, attention was paid to the quality of cadet training at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and the peculiarities of the 2024 admission campaign.
The Vice-Rector of the University, Chairman of the Board of the NGO "FSC "Univer-Dynamo", Police Colonel Serhii Bortnyk presented Honorary Awards, Acknowledgements and Diplomas for high achievements and assistance in the development of sports to the cadets of faculties №№ 1-4, master's students of faculty № 1, who are members of the national teams of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in sambo wrestling, kettlebell lifting, athletics, volleyball.
On the occasion of honoring the feat of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity and perpetuating the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, cadets of the parade calculation of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in laying flowers at the monument to the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred - "Tree of Freedom" in Vinnytsia.
Nataliia Yelnikova, a senior lecturer at the Department of Ukrainian Studies of the Faculty № 2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, held an online hour of remembrance for a group of cadets entitled "Plyne kacha: a song that became a requiem". She noted that the Day of the Heavenly Hundred Heroes is a day to honor the feat and perpetuate the memory of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity.
On the eve of the World Day of Social Justice, which is celebrated annually on February 20, Ruslana Slobodianiuk, a lawyer of Podilska Legal League NGO, and employees of Khmelnytsky Regional Universal Scientific Library held an educational event.
