Students of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs have once again replenished the blood bank to provide blood for those in need. The donation campaign was organised by the student-cadet parliament of the branch together with the local blood centre to support medical institutions that provide assistance to the wounded and victims of military operations.

A conversation on the topic ‘1000 days of invincibility of the Ukrainian people. The heroism of the military and law enforcement officers who defend Ukraine’ with the second-year cadets of the ERI №3 was held by the curator, associate professor of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure Iryna Kazanchuk.

Every day, the cadets, students and staff of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs provide assistance to the defenders of Ukraine who are holding the line: they donate blood, weave camouflage nets, make trench candles, visit wounded soldiers in hospitals, and help veterans and their families.

Mykola Sorochyshyn, the Head of KhNUIA Student Parliament, and Nataliia Vasylenko, the Head of the Student Council of the ERI No. 5, took part in a meeting with Oksen Lisovyi, the Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine, and his Deputy Mykhailo Vynnytskyi. The event was organised with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Student League.

Associate professors of the Department of Humanities Nadiia Demydenko and Hanna Dovhopolova together with 3rd year cadets of Sumy branch of KhNUIA Andrii Levchenko and Nikita Kapitonenko discussed with pupils of Sumy Specialised School of I-III degrees No. 25 in Sumy the concept of human rights violations and the main mechanisms of their protection.

First aid is not just words of support, it is a set of actions aimed at helping a person overcome a crisis. The training course, conducted by representatives of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, covered the principles of first aid, the basics of crisis management, etc.

On the initiative and with the assistance of the director of Kamianets-Podilskyi Lyceum, Alona Kuzema, Vadym Maltsev, a lecturer at the Department of Combating Cybercrime of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, held a class on the basics of cyber hygiene and personal data protection for high school students.

For higher education students of the Educational and Research Institutes Nos. 1-4, the curators of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work held thematic information and educational talks on combating drug and other addictions. They told the cadets about the impact of drugs on human development and the emergence of drug addiction.

This was the topic of a scientific and practical training event for attorneys of Kharkiv region held by Sofia Popova, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Civil Law and Procedure of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5, Doctor of Philosophy in Law.

Representatives of the Department of Constitutional and International Law and Human Rights of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in the regular online lecture organised by the Constitutional Court of Ukraine: Tetiana Hudz, Dmytro Slynko, Andrii Voitsikhovskyi and Daria Heta.
