Viktoriia Yarova, the Head of the Student and Cadet Parliament of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, a member of the Youth Council at Sumy City Council, co-organised the event ‘Dialogues of Victory 2024’ for the youth of Sumy Territorial Community. Active and motivated young men and women of the community joined the event.

The instructors of the Civilian Preparedness Centre and the senior lecturer of the Department of Tactical and Special Training of the ERI №2 Oleksandr Skliar conducted a binary lesson on ‘Tactical Medicine. Tourniquet application’.

Oleh Zamryka, investigator of the Crime Investigation Department of the Investigation Department of Khmelnytskyi District Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Khmelnytskyi Region, together with Alona Komziuk, Associate Professor of the Department of Administrative Law and Procedure, conducted classes for second-year students of the ERI No. 1.

With the assistance of the Department of International Cooperation of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs and thanks to the support of Suzanne Bancel, Senior Advisor on Internationalisation at the Norwegian Police University College, the College's library staff compiled and shared with Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs a list of open access journals and databases for use in research activities.

The first-year students of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, who are studying Law Enforcement, Ilia Tepliakov, Diana Kurako, Ihor Shulha, Anna Rozhenko and Anna Kravchenko, joined the volunteer work for the first time. They helped the volunteers of the ‘WE ARE HERE - Northern Outpost’ charity foundation to make camouflage nets for the military.

For higher education applicants of Sumy branch of KhNUIA, who are studying in the specialities ‘Law’ and ‘Law Enforcement’, a lesson on digital security ‘CyberBase’ was conducted by the acting head of the Department of Socio-Economic Disciplines, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Svitlana Vyhaniailo.

This was the theme of a conference organised by the University of Warsaw in cooperation with the Pilecki Institute, in which Ksenia Yurtaieva, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology, PhD in Law, Associate Professor, took part. She was a panelist at the panel ‘Autonomy, Independence and Security in the Post-Soviet Space’.

As part of the all-Ukrainian informational and educational campaign "Know your rights: insurance", senior lecturer of the Department of Legal Support of Entrepreneurial Activity and Financial Security of the ERI No. 5 Anna Sushkova and Master's student of the specialty "Finance, Banking, Insurance and Stock Markets" Serhii Pianov listened to a lecture "School of insurance".

Nataliia Hresa, Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology and Psychology of the ERI №5, Head of the practice, held a meeting with 2nd year master's students studying in the speciality ‘053 Psychology’. She noted that pedagogical practice is an integral part of the educational and professional programme ‘Psychology (Practical Psychology)’.

For the participants of the School of Scientific Leadership of KhNUIA, the next optional lesson was held by Mykhailo Hribov, Professor of the Department of Investigative Activities and Crime Solution of the ERI No. 2, Doctor of Law, Professor, Honoured Lawyer of Ukraine, who has extensive practical experience in advocacy.
