On May 8, Ukraine, together with the whole world, celebrates the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation. On this day, cadets of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in a city event dedicated to the memory of all victims of the Second World War of 1939-1945, which killed about 10 million Ukrainians.

On the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, employees of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs visited World War II veterans and conveyed greetings from the university administration and staff.
Veterans gladly accepted the wishes and warm words of gratitude, wiped away tears from old and painful memories, thanked for their attention, support and sincerely wished Ukraine peace, because who, if not they, know the price of getting it.
