KhNUIA Equal Opportunities team took part in the project webinar "EQUALS-EU: Closing the skills and gender gap in STEM – Where do we stand?", which aimed to present informative updates on the success of establishing gender equality and overcoming the gender gap in the modern European space. EQUALS-EU project affects the work in this direction drew special attention.

This year, on May 9, Ukraine celebrates Europe Day together with the countries of the European Union as a candidate country for EU membership. We are part of the family of European countries with common values and aspirations. During the Second World War, millions of Ukrainians gave their lives for a brighter future.

Maryna Vasylenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Legal Disciplines, organized an excursion to the forensic laboratory of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs for high school students of Sumy Specialized School of I-III degrees No. 2 named after D. Kosarenko. The event was attended by Valerii Kudriavtsev, a leading specialist of Sumy branch, who familiarized future graduates with the rules of admission to the state order and contractual form of education, paid attention to the areas of training of higher education applicants and the benefits of studying at Sumy branch of KhNUIA.

A regular meeting of the student-cadet scientific club "VERITAS" of the Department of Humanities of Sumy branch of KhNUIA was held on the topic "The essence and factors of formation of professional reliability of future law enforcement officers in martial law" under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities Tetiana Bilous.

Participants of the School of Scientific Leadership of KhNUIA invite residents of Kamianets-Podilskyi and guests of the city to join the environmental project "Defense of Nature", which will be held under the slogan "Let's cleanse the world not only from the occupiers" on May 13, 2023 at the Swan Lake in Kamianets-Podilskyi.

An informational and educational hour dedicated to the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation and the Day of Victory over Nazism in World War II of 1939-1945 was organized and held for the 1st year cadets of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. 1st year cadet Anhelina Pravdiuk acquainted the students with the information material of the Ukrainian Institute of National Memory.

The student and cadet self-government of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs joined the festive celebrations on the occasion of the Europe Day. The events were attended by the leaders of the region, the city, representatives of local government, youth leaders of the city and active students of higher education institutions.
