Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs is a powerful training center for the National Police of Ukraine. Educational and Research Institute No. 2 is one of the structural divisions of the university and trains specialists for the criminal police units of the National Police of Ukraine in the specialties "Law" (pre-trial investigation) and "Law enforcement activities" (criminal police).

Professor of the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines of the ERI No. 2 Natalia PAVLENKO held an open lecture on the discipline "Fundamentals of Economic Theory" on the topic "Enterprise as a Subject of Economic Activity" for cadets of the ERI No. 4 with the participation of associate professor of the department Oleksii SUSIDENKO.

A combatant, war veteran, police officer of the Main Police Department of Chernivtsi region, Serhii HONCHAROV, and a senior lecturer at the Department of Special Physical Training of the ERI No. 2, Ivan OMELIANENKO, demonstrated to the cadets of the ERI No. 3 techniques for protecting themselves from knife attacks during a practical lesson.

Another optional class of the School of Scientific Leadership of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was held. The training was conducted by the head of the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Candidate of Law, Professor Oleksii SHUMILO.

Deputy Directors for Educational and Research Activities of the ERI No. 1 Oleksii SALMANOV, ERI No. 2 Serhii HIRENKO and ERI No. 4 Yurii ONYSCHCHENKO took part in the presentation of the Special Report of the Commissioner for Human Rights of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on access to education of children and youth from the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

The Cadet and Student Parliament organized intellectual competitions for Valentine’s Day. In Vinnytsia, teams from the ERI No. 2 and No. 3 competed, organized by the Chairman of the Parliament Mykola SOROCHYSHYN, and in Kamianets-Podilskyi, teams from the ERI No. 1, No. 2 and No. 5 competed, organized by the Deputy Chairman of the Parliament Anzhela STETSIUK.

The Head of the Research laboratory on the problems of legal support of police activities and combating crime of the ERI No. 2, Doctor of Law, Professor Kostiantyn BUHAICHUK presented a practical manual and scientific and methodological recommendations to the library.

Curators of educational work of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work held informational and educational conversations with students of the ERI No. 1-5 on the occasion of Unity Day on February 16, 2022 and the events that Ukraine experienced in the first year of the full-scale invasion of the enemy.

The state program "eBook" was launched on December 16, 2024. It allows those who turned 18 in 2024 or will turn 18 in 2025 to receive funds to purchase books in print or electronic versions. The initiative is implemented by the Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications of Ukraine together with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and the Ukrainian Book Institute.

This was the topic of the International Conference, which was remotely joined by a participant of the School of Scientific Leadership of KhNUIA, 1st year cadet of the ERI #2 Mykhailo SLYVA. He presented a report on the topic “Directions of development of scientific and creative activity of students dedicated to the problems of international humanitarian law”.
