On 24 October 2024, at 12.00, the debate of candidates for the position of the Chairman of the Cadet and Student Parliament of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs will take place.

On the eve of the International Day of the United Nations, which is celebrated annually on 24 October, curators of educational work of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work held thematic information and educational talks for higher education students of the Educational and Research Institutes No. 1-4.

Senior Lecturer of the Department of Tactical and Special Training of the ERI No. 2 Oleksandr Skliar organised a binary lesson on ‘Military equipment, outfit, armour protection and inventory’ for the cadets of the ERI No. 3, which was conducted by a military instructor of the Volunteer Civilian Readiness Centre.

The instructors of the Civilian Preparedness Centre and the senior lecturer of the Department of Tactical and Special Training of the ERI №2 Oleksandr Skliar conducted a binary lesson on ‘Tactical Medicine. Tourniquet application’.

Representatives of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in the training on ‘Sexual Violence during Armed Conflict’, which took place in Uzhhorod. During the training, the participants analysed the legal framework of both domestic and international legislation applicable during armed conflict, considered the facts of sexual violence with a focus on Ukraine.

Cadets of the ERI # 2 Alina Bilichenko, Yelyzaveta Zhuk, Oleksandr Maltsev, Maksym Yavorskyi and the lecturers of the Department of Investigative Activities and Crime Solution Iryna Shynkarenko and Valerii Temriienko took part in a workshop on the topic ‘Use of Open Sources of Information (OSINT) in Criminal Proceedings’.

In Lviv, the championship of FST "Dynamo" of Ukraine in sambo wrestling was held among national military teams belonging to the sphere of administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the National Guard of Ukraine and other central executive authorities, the activities of which are directed and coordinated by the CMU through the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, in which she participated national team of KhNUIA

To acquire practical skills in the M.A.R.S.N. algorithm, second-year students of the ERI No. 1 learnt to apply tourniquets and a compression bandage, as well as tamponade wounds. The binary lesson was conducted by Vitalii Paraniuk, a community police officer, and Volodymyr Yevtushok and Serhii Kuchynskyi, senior lecturers of the Department of Tactical and Special Training at the ERI No. 2.

Representatives of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work of the University held informational and educational talks on the topic ‘Military Traditions of Ukraine’ for students of the Institute of Law and Order. In recent years, military symbols, rituals and traditions have regained their true historical basis.
