The regular meeting chaired by the associate professor of the department, candidate of psychological sciences, associate professor Svitlana Lozova was dedicated to the topic of combating violence and preventing domestic violence. On December 17, 1999, the UN General Assembly declared November 25 the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Meetings with students on the 1000th day of the full-scale hostile invasion of the Russian Federation into Ukraine were held by curators of the educational groups of the ERI No. 5. They talked about the resistance of the Ukrainian people, the de-occupation of cities, the return of prisoners of war, and support for Ukraine by other states.
For third-year students studying in the specialty "Law Enforcement Activities", Yulia Tutova, a lecturer at the Department of Civil Law and Process of the ERI No. 5, together with lawyer, Candidate of Law Olha Koliesnikova, held a lesson on the topic "Civil Law Contract as a Basis for Providing Cosmetology Services."
Serhii Koliesnikov, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of KhNUIA, together with Oleksandr Barbaniuk, Investigator of the Department for Solving Crimes Committed Against Life and Health of the Investigation Department of Kamianets-Podilskyi District Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Khmelnytskyi Region, conducted a class for 1st year students of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5.
Lecturers of the Department of Sociology and Psychology of the ERI № 5 underwent a refresher course on modern methods and practices of psychological support for for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as part of the training webinar ‘Actual challenges of psychological assistance in war’.
As part of the international campaign ‘16 Days Against Violence’, which takes place annually in Ukraine, Mykola Holub, Professor of the Department of Law Enforcement at the ERI No. 5, together with Artem Konovalov, Head of the Juvenile Prevention Department of Kharkiv Regional Police, held a class on Police Activities.
Nataliia Zubova, Chief Forensic Expert of the Trace Research and Technical Document Examination Sector of the National Scientific Centre ‘Bokarius Institute of Forensic Expertise’, conducted a binary lesson for students of the ERI No. 5.
Associate professors of the Department of Sociology and Psychology of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Alla Shylina and Olena Mokhorieva introduced the rules of admission to the higher education institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the 10th and 11th graders of the Kharkiv Lyceum №114 of Kharkiv City Council, told them about the educational and research institutes and specialities.
The event ‘Remote Hearings in Civil, Commercial and Administrative Proceedings’, dedicated to the study of practical aspects and effectiveness of remote hearings in court proceedings, was held at the Supreme Court. Volodymyr Kroitor, Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure of the ERI No. 5, took part in the discussion.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of KhNUIA as a university and the establishment of the Department of Legal Support of Business and Financial Security of the ERI №5, the academic staff of the Department met with graduates and postgraduates of the university.
