Expanding cooperation on cybersecurity between the EU and KhNUIA within the framework of the Horizon 2020 project NOTIONES

At the invitation of Fundacion Tecnalia Research & Innovation (TECNALIA), coordinator of the Horizon 2020 project "iNteracting netwOrk of inTelligence and security practitiOners with iNdustry and acadEmia actorS " (NOTIONES), Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs signed a declaration developed by CYBERSPACE LEA, a cybersecurity law enforcement cluster.

Training for detectives and analysts of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine

Within the framework of the CRYPTOEDGE project, which is being implemented with the support of the US Embassy in Ukraine, Vitalii Nosov, Professor of the Department of Cybercrime Counteraction of the Faculty № 4, took part as an expert trainer in a series of trainings of the second stage of the course for investigators.

Information event dedicated to the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs hosted an information event dedicated to the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons. It was attended by Vice-Rector of the University Anatolii Klochko, Anti-Trafficking Manager of the OSCE Support Program for Ukraine Nadiia Ostapchuk, Head of the Department of International Cooperation Olena Ustymenko, representatives of the Educational and Methodological Department, academic staff and students of the University.

Participation in the lecture "The crime of genocide under international law"

Professor of the Department of Constitutional and International Law of the Faculty № 4 Andrii Voitsikhovskyi took part in a thematic lecture by a famous American lawyer, Professor Gregory Townsend on the topic "The Crime of Genocide under International Law", prepared by the Center for Civil Liberties within the framework of the Ukrainian Week of International Criminal Justice.

Participation in the training from the EU Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL)

The regional training "Train-the-Trainers course - Level 2 (advanced)", organized by the European Union Agency for Law Enforcement Training (CEPOL) within the framework of the TOPCOP project "Training and Operational Partnership against Organized Crime", took place in Budapest (Hungary). 

Youth beyond the borders

Krystyna Koval, a 3rd year student of the Faculty No. 1 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, took part in the international youth exchange "Youth Beyond Borders" in Beśkowice and Gdańsk (Poland) as part of the Erasmus+ project

Cooperation between KhNUIA and Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznan, Poland) continues

Within the framework of the cooperation agreement, with the assistance of Oksana Brusakova, Dean of the Faculty № 6 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Mykola Pakhnin, Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the Faculty № 6, and Yuliia Mytrofanova, Senior Lecturer of the same department, a lecture for students was organized by Bartosz Betka, Doctoral Student of Adam Mickiewicz University, Master of Law, practicing lawyer. 

Visit of OSCE representatives to the University

Liliia Hrudko, Human Security Project Coordinator of the OSCE Support Program for Ukraine, and Tetiana Medun, National Project Manager of the OSCE Support Program for Ukraine, paid a working visit to Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.

International summer school under the Horizon 2020 program project "European Regional Partnership for Gender Equality in the Digital Age" (EQUALS-EU)

The last week of the international summer school of the EQUALS-EU project was dedicated to the topic "Eliminating exclusion and promoting women's digital rights". The host, the Gender Center of the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (Geneva, Switzerland), organized useful and interesting workshops and seminars: "Strategy development and advocacy processes for digital inclusion of women", "Writing gender-oriented policy documents for digital inclusion of women".

A representative of ICITAP visited the University

Timothy Janowick, Deputy Director of the ICITAP Regional Program Office in Ukraine, visited Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. He met with the First Vice-Rector of the University Oleksandr Morhunov. The purpose of the visit was to monitor the educational process of community police officers who are being trained at the university and to communicate with the students of the program.
