Today, on March 9, Ukraine celebrates the 207th anniversary of the birth of the great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko. Employees, cadets and students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs laid flowers to the monument to the Great Kobzar in Kharkiv together with the city residents, representatives of state and local self-governmental bodies, representatives of public organizations.
At the age of 54, as a result of a serious illness, an outstanding scientist of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure of the faculty № 6, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Oleksandr Vasylovych Soboliev passed away. The staff of the University sincerely sympathizes with the relatives, friends and colleagues of Oleksandr Vasylovych about the heavy loss.

The cadets of the faculty № 2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs were awarded with the gratitude of the head of MDNP in Kharkiv region. On the eve of the artist's birthday, the students of faculty № 6 took part in the literary quest "Knowing the Kobzar", organized by the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities.

The Head of GDNP Criminal Investigation Department of Kharkiv region Police Colonel Roman Ivashchenko met the 3rd year cadets at the invitation of the administration of the faculty № 2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. In fact, Ukrainians were his real family.
Honoring the memory of the Great Kobzar - the son of the Ukrainian people Taras Shevchenko, whose work was and remains an inexhaustible treasure of folk wisdom, Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held a competition of readers of Shevchenko’s poetry.
