Today, on March 9, Ukraine celebrates the 207th anniversary of the birth of the great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko. Employees, cadets and students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs laid flowers to the monument to the Great Kobzar in Kharkiv together with the city residents, representatives of state and local self-governmental bodies, representatives of public organizations.

At the age of 54, as a result of a serious illness, an outstanding scientist of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure of the faculty № 6, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Oleksandr Vasylovych Soboliev passed away. The staff of the University sincerely sympathizes with the relatives, friends and colleagues of Oleksandr Vasylovych about the heavy loss.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, the Department of Cyberpolice, the Department of Juvenile Prevention of the Department of Preventive Activities of the National Police of Ukraine together with users of the Telegram chatbot "StopNarcotics" blocked the work of a dozen e-mail addresses of "death groups".

There was the binary seminar for 2nd-year students of the faculty № 6 KhNUIA on "General positions of property rights". The classes were conducted by the Head of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure, Professor Yuriy Zhornokuy, Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure, Professor Volodymyr Kroytor, Managing Partner, Lawyer of the “Ares” Law Firm Roman Chumak.

The cadets of the faculty № 2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs were awarded with the gratitude of the head of MDNP in Kharkiv region. The awards were presented to Anastasia Pustovit and Polina Ivanchuk by the Chief of Kharkiv Region MDNP Police Colonel Andriy Rubel for high sports results and a significant personal contribution to the development of physical culture and sports in Ukraine.

Every year on March 9-10, Ukrainians honor the memory of Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko, the poet, the artist, the philosopher, the public figure, the founder of the Ukrainian literary language. On the eve of the artist's birthday, the students of faculty № 6 took part in the literary quest "Knowing the Kobzar", organized by the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities.

During the morning line-up of the personnel of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, the athletes of the university who won prizes in the VII All-Ukrainian weightlifting tournament dedicated to the memory of Colonel-General of Artillery Vasyl Petrov were awarded.

The Head of GDNP Criminal Investigation Department of Kharkiv region Police Colonel Roman Ivashchenko met the 3rd year cadets at the invitation of the administration of the faculty № 2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The event was also attended by the Deputy Chief of the GDNP of Kharkiv region, Police Colonel Bohdan Kirichuk, the dean of the faculty № 2 Police Colonel Kostiantyn Harbuziuk, the Head of the 3rd year cadets of the Faculty № 2 Major of Police Roman Pelenchuk.

On March 9, 1814, the man was born who was destined to become not just a poet, but a true Ukrainian Prophet. A serf and an academician, a man with superhuman abilities and superhuman strength, which he spent exclusively on his people, without creating his own family. In fact, Ukrainians were his real family.

Honoring the memory of the Great Kobzar - the son of the Ukrainian people Taras Shevchenko, whose work was and remains an inexhaustible treasure of folk wisdom, Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs held a competition of readers of Shevchenko’s poetry.
