II Scientific and Practical Conference “Aviation, Industry, Society” will take place on May 12, 2021, at 10.00 a.m. at Kremenchuk Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs in online mode.

2nd-year cadets of the Faculty № 1 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs visited educational institutions in different cities of Ukraine, held meetings with management and students of graduating classes in compliance with quarantine requirements, told them about the university and their future profession as a police officer.

“Virtual Tour to Europe” is a series of online lecturers to the Day of Europe in Ukraine, which will be held by representatives of European Union countries to give information about the country they represent and, in particular, the features of training of future police officers.

Tsvitana Baranova, a leading specialist of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, held an online meeting with applicants who have already applied through the portal for candidates for higher education institutions with specific training conditions that train police officers osvita.np.gov.ua.

In early May, sakura blossomed out at the university. Usually, the trees become covered with pale pink flowers in late April, but this year due to unfavorable weather conditions, sakura trees came into lush pink flowers later. As you know, sakura is considered a symbol of Japan. Its blossom has long been perceived as an exclusively Japanese traditional sight.

Yurii Oleksiiovych Prokopenko, the former head of the medical service of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs (1995-2008), Candidate of Medical Sciences, Police Colonel, passed away. The University staff sincerely sympathizes with family, relatives, close friends, and colleagues of Yurii Oleksiiovych about the grievous bereavement.

On May 17, 2021, at 14:00 Anna Naumova, Associate Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of Faculty № 6 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, will conduct an online demonstration lecture on "Qualification of crimes in the sphere of official activities".

On the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the Victory over Nazism in the Second World War, there was a solemn ceremony of laying flowers on the territory of the National Memorial Complex "The Height of Marshal I. S. Koniev". Vice-Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Serhii Bortnyk together with the representatives of state and local self-government authorities, veterans, and the public took part in the events.

The Day of Victory over Nazism in the Second World War will remain forever in our memory. With a deep honor, we remember the heroes who won our freedom in a terrible duel with Nazism. The memory of their feats remains with us as a brilliant sample of courage, the strength of the spirit, self-sacrifice, and eternal grief for those who gave their lives for peace on earth.

May 8 is the Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation in Ukraine. Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police General of the 3-rd rank Valerii Sokurenko, Vice-Rector, Police Colonel Serhii Bortnyk, Ex-Vice Rector of the University and now People's Deputy of Ukraine Oleksandr Bakumov and others took part in the ceremonial events held at the Memorial of Glory.
