On the 18th of November 2021, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs will host the "Night of Science in Kharkiv 2021". During the event, you will get acquainted with the higher education institution with specific teaching conditions - you will visit classrooms, training fields, sports facilities, meet the leadership of the university and get relevant information about the university.

Rector of the University, General of Police of the Third Rank Valerii Sokurenko, met with the students of advanced training courses who came to study at Institute of Postgraduate Education of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. He stressed the conscientious attitude to education, observance of official discipline and internal regulations, and he also noted that the necessary conditions for study, self-training, sports and recreation have created in the university.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs hosted a graduation ceremony for graduate students from the Republic of Azerbaijan. 91 graduates received diplomas of higher education "bachelor", diplomas of higher education "master" - 5 graduates. The event was attended by Rector of the University Valerii Sokurenko, First Vice-Rector Dmytro Shvets, Dean of the Faculty № 6 Oksana Brusakova and others.

Celebrating the Remembrance Day of Defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the 1st year cadets of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs joined the action of memory of "Sonyakh" and honored a moment of silence for all those who died in the struggle for a free and sovereign state.

On August 29, 2021, on the occasion of the Remembrance Day of Defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine on the Alley of Fame in Sumy, near the memorial stone laid in honor of fallen fellow soldiers, a memorial service was held and laying flowers to the memorial to the Heroes of Ukraine and the graves of those killed in the anti-terrorist operation / combined forces operation.

It has become a good tradition during camp gathering as part of the weekend to organize an excursion to the first-year cadets of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs for Anton Chekhov Memorial House-Museum, which is located on the picturesque outskirts of Sumy - Lutzi.

Today, August 29, the whole country commemorates the military and law enforcement officers who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of the state and in the performance of official duties.

On the occasion of the memorable date, August 29, for the first-year cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, who are undergoing combat training, a screening of the feature film "Ilovaisk 2014. Donbass Battalion" was organized.

Sports competitions, in which freshmen of the university took part, were dedicated to the Day of Defenders of Ukraine. At each faculty of the university, boys and girls competed in running at different distances, weightlifting, pull-ups on the crossbar, flexion and extension of the arms while lying down, tug of war, and played football and volleyball.
