On the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and the beginning of the new school year, the First Rector of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Oleksandr Bandurka, as well as Vice-Rectors of the university, Serhii Bortnyk and Anatolii Klochko, congratulated the students of the Lyceum "Pravoohoronets".

The First Vice-Rector of the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police Colonel Dmytro Shvets, visited Velyka Kokhnivka airfield, where cadets of the Kremenchug Flight College of KhNUIA conducted planned training flights.Today, seven cadets fly five Mi-2 helicopters.

According to the annual tradition, employees of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs became participants of the holiday - the Day of Knowledge, organized for the pupils of the sponsored educational institution - Kharkiv Sanatorium Boarding School No. 11.

Volodymyr Hrechenko, Head of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Faculty No. 6, Professor, gave the first lecture for first year students in the specialty «Psychology». The lecture was about the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's independence, the achievements and prospects of our state.

Celebrations on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge and the beginning of the new academic year took place at Kremenchug Flight College of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. They were held at the memorial "Glory to the helicopter pilots" in the Dnieper Park.

On September 1, on Knowledge Day, students and cadets of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs were given a lecture on ''Ukraine – unified country'' by head teachers.

Celebrations at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs traditionally end with a march of university units - standard-bearing group, Honor guard, drummers' division, faculties including 700 first year cadets.

During the celebrations on the occasion of the Day of Knowledge, the employees of the university were awarded. Representatives of the higher education institution were awarded with the  Medal "For Distinction in Military Service" and others for exemplary performance of official duties, personal initiative and dedication.

Celebrations dedicated to the Day of Knowledge were held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The university management, honored guests, representatives of the scientific and pedagogical staff, parents and relatives of cadets and students of the university gathered on a large square to greet the youth on the beginning of the new academic year.
