The event took place at Sumy National Academic Drama and Musical Comedy Theater named after M. S. Shchepkin. The military from Sumy region, who have been defending the integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine since 2014, gathered in the hall.

International Volunteer Day is celebrated around the world on December 5. It was founded at the initiative of the UN General Assembly in 1985. This day allows volunteers and different organizations to celebrate their work, share their values and tell about themselves.
Volunteering is the calling of the soul, the desire of a sincere and highly spiritual person to make the world a better place, to help everyone who needs protection and support. This is a powerful social movement, the noblest human activity, thanks to which the sick, lonely, unprotected receive the care and warmth of kind hearts.
Athletes of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs won prizes in the All-Ukrainian weightlifting tournament dedicated to the memory of I. M. Kozhedub, which took place in Kharkiv. The tournament was attended by 120 participants from six regions of Ukraine.

Yuliia Shelest, a second-year cadet of the Faculty № 1, who is a member of the School of Scientific Leadership and a volunteer researcher, donated exhibits from the Second World War to the Liubotyn City Museum of Local Lore. They were found during excavations in Balakliia district by cadets-participants of the School of Scientific Leadership of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs together with the public organization "Union of Search Detachments of Ukraine".
