Defender of Ukraine Dmytro PETRENKO served in the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo Halytsky, but was seriously injured in November 2023. He is now learning to drive at the barrier-free driving school of KhNUIA.

On July 3, 2025, the X International Scientific and Practical Conference “Training of Law Enforcement Officers in the System of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine under Martial Law” will be held online at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. Deputy Director of the Institute for Educational and Scientific Research Activities of the Educational and Research Institute No. 1 Oleksii SALMANOV congratulated the first-year student Artem LEVCHENKO on his victory at the European Championship in universal combat, which was held in the city of Polovradi (Romania). The cadet won gold medals in two sections at once - "light" and "classic" in the weight category up to 95 kg.
