The Constitution of Ukraine is not just a legal document adopted by the Verkhovna Rada on the night of June 28, 1996, after long and exhausting political debates. It is an act of popular sovereignty, which enshrines not only the structure of state power, but also the fundamental values around which a democratic society is built.

The Basic Law of the state enshrines the rights and freedoms of citizens, defines the principles of democracy, the rule of law and the independence of Ukraine. At a time when our state continues to fight for its territorial integrity and sovereignty, we once again confirm our unbreakable historical choice - to be free in our own country, to live with dignity on Ukrainian soil.

On this day, we honor the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine - the Fundamental Law, which is a talisman of independence, a guarantor of freedoms and a symbol of our national dignity.

The performance of the National Anthem of Ukraine began the events on the occasion of the 29th anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Ukraine at Educational and Research Institutes No. 1, 4, 5 and Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
