
Our statehood is over a millennium old. From the ancient Russian era to the Cossacks, from national liberation struggles to the present day – our nation has always chosen freedom. Today, statehood is not only about institutions. Statehood is about everyone who defends the country at the front and in the rear.

On July 15, Ukraine celebrates Ukrainian Statehood Day, which coincides with the Day of the Baptism of Rus-Ukraine and the day of honoring the outstanding state-builder, Prince of Kiev Volodymyr the Great. In 2025, the Ukrainian people will celebrate this holiday for only the fourth time - now on July 15 according to the new Julian calendar.

On the occasion of Ukrainian Statehood Day, students of Sumy branch of KhNUIA joined a thematic event organized at the initiative of the student and cadet council. With a minute of silence, the participants honored the memory of all those who gave their lives for the freedom, independence and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

The action was actively participated by cadets and students of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. They raised funds to support the units of the Security and Defense Forces, which amounted to over 700 thousand hryvnias, which were used to purchase the necessary equipment for units performing combat missions on the front line.

The curators of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work held an information and educational hour for higher education students of the ERI No. 1-4, aimed at deepening their understanding of the historical, legal and spiritual foundations of Ukrainian statehood and the formation of patriotic values.

Associate professors of the Department of Sociology and Psychology of the ERI No. 5 Natalia HRESA, Yana PONOMARENKO and Alla SHYLINA participated in a two-day training "Child-centeredness in cases on the child's right to a family: practical aspects of implementation. Strengthening the capacities of the supporting professional community."

First-year cadets studying in the following specialties: 081 "Law", 262 "Law Enforcement", 125 "Cybersecurity and Information Protection", 126 "Information Systems and Technologies", 071 "Accounting and Taxation" were briefed on the organization and conduct of practicum in the departments of the NPU.

The teacher of the general professional training cycle, Heorhii SMYRNOV, successfully acquired knowledge on the topic "Fundamentals of Child-Friendly Justice". The acquired competencies will allow students to more effectively form an understanding of the standards of work with minors and the principles of respecting human rights.

The Head of the automotive training department of the barrier-free driving school of KhNUIA, Oleksandr MARUNCHAK, discussed with the Head of Novoushytska united territorial community, Anatolii OLIINYK, the possibilities of cooperation between the higher education institution and local government bodies.

In order to ensure transparency and objectivity of the admission campaign, a working meeting was held at KhNUIA with the participation of representatives of Khmelnytskyi and Vinnytsia departments of the Department of Internal Security of the NPU, members of the admissions committee, and representatives of the commissions for organizing the admission campaign.
