The cadets of the ERI No. 1 returned from a business trip to the Investigation Department of Kharkiv Oblast National Police, where they participated in pre-trial investigations in criminal proceedings committed by the military of the aggressor country on the territory of Ukraine.
An informative lesson for applicants for higher education of the ERI №№3,4 was conducted by Oleksandr Skliar, senior lecturer of the Department of Tactical and Special Training of the ERI №2, instructor in training in risks associated with explosive objects.
A meeting of the student-cadet scientific club “VERITAS” of the Department of Humanities of Sumy branch of KhNUIA was held on the topic “Conducting research work of higher education applicants on the basis of the principles of academic integrity under martial law”.
This was the topic of the All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference, which brought together scholars and practitioners from all over Ukraine to discuss topical issues of security during the legal regime of martial law, as well as to find effective solutions to counter modern threats.
The curator, senior lecturer of the Department of Legal Disciplines of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA Serhii Lukianenko held discussions with higher education students on the decisions of the European Court of Human Rights in the cases of Syrytsia and Others v. Ukraine and Shpytalnyi and Others v. Ukraine.
The Head of the Cycle Commission Tetiana Kozlovska held an optional lesson for the participants of the University's School of Scientific Leadership. She drew the attention of the students to the problem of environmental terrorism, the impact of rocket and artillery shelling on the environment caused by the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine.
On October 21, 2024, at 14:00, the course Jean Monnet Module “Digital Transformation of Rights: EU Experience” (DiTraRi_EU 101127785), implemented by the Department of Civil, Labor and Commercial Law of the ERI №1, will begin teaching.
The event, dedicated to the methods and ways of providing free legal aid, was held by the curator of the department, Associate Professor of the Department of Civil Law and Procedure Tetiana Kyrychenko. The seminar was attended by Ella Tverdokhlib, Deputy Director of the ERI #5.
Valentyna Korzh, Professor of the Department of Criminal Procedure, Criminalistics and Forensics of the Educational and Research Institute #5, took the course “Women, Peace, Security” as part of the project “Building a Democratic, Peaceful and Gender-Equal Society in Ukraine - Phase II”.
The class was conducted by Olena Polehenka, Prosecutor of the Department for Organization of Procedural Management of Pre-trial Investigation and Support of Public Prosecution in Criminal Proceedings Related to Domestic Violence of the Department for Protection of Children's Interests and Combating Domestic Violence of the Prosecutor General's Office.
