Events dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred were held at all locations of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. The Rector of the University, General of Police of the Third Rank Valerii SOKURENKO, Vice-Rectors of the University, Police Colonels Serhii BORTNYK, Oleksandr MUZYCHUK, Directors of Educational and Research Institutes, Employees and Students honored the feat of those who in 2014, during the Revolution of Dignity, paid the highest price for freedom for Ukraine and its people – their lives.

On February 20, Ukraine honors the feat of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity and the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred. On this day, students and employees of KhNUIA in all cities where the university is located laid flowers at the monuments to the Heroes who gave their strength and lives, defending freedom and democracy in the name of the bright future of Ukraine.

For a thousand years we have been fighting for our freedom and independence. In this struggle we have suffered irreparable sacrifices, in it the best sons and daughters of our native Ukraine have died and are dying. We do not forget and remember them – the Heroes of Krut – whose Day of Remembrance we celebrated in January, and today is the Day of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.

Associate Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, curator of the study group of the ERI No. 1 Olena YUSHKEVYCH held an online meeting with cadets dedicated to the anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity and honoring the memory of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.

A virtual exhibition dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian writer, journalist and publicist, editor, UMMAS laureate, member of the UNR government in exile, member of the OUP "Slovo", founder and editor of Rivne newspaper "Volyn" was prepared by the general library of KhNUIA.

On the eve of the Day of the Heroes of the Heavenly Hundred, which is celebrated annually in Ukraine on February 20, educational curators of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Work held informational and educational talks for students of Educational and Research Institutes No. 1–5.

Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of KhNUIA Yulia ZAHUMENNA told cadets of the ERI No. 1 about the tragic events of the Revolution of Dignity of 2013–2014 and the Heroes who died during the protests on Independence Square in Kyiv, defending Ukraine's European choice.

A binary lecture class on the discipline "International Law" was held on this topic for 2nd year cadets of the ERI No. 2, studying in the specialty "Law". It was conducted by Natalia FILIPSKA, senior lecturer at the Department of Constitutional and International Law and Human Rights, and the Head of the international police cooperation sector of Vinnytsia Regional Police Department, police lieutenant colonel Anatolii IHNATENKO.

Professor of the Department of Criminology and Forensic Expertise of the ERI No. 1, Doctor of Law Oleksandr YUKHNO checked the status of the internship and preparation of mock-ups of criminal proceedings in pre-trial investigation by cadets of the ERI No. 2 in two departments of the Main Police Department in Kharkiv region.

2nd year students of the ERI No. 5, who are pursuing higher education in the first-level higher education program 262 "Law Enforcement", defended their training practice materials. The commission included scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of Law Enforcement: Head Iryna PANOVA, Associate Professors Daria HLUSHKOVA, Olena DOVHAN and Valerii HOVOROV.
