
Police Colonel Ihor Ivanchyshyn passed away in hospital at the age of 47 after being wounded in the Russian shelling of Kharkiv. On November 1, 2024, as a result of a rocket strike on the city center, he received numerous shrapnel wounds and was hospitalized in serious condition with multiple injuries. Deputy Director for Educational and Research Activities of the ERI No. 2, Associate Professor Serhii Hirenko, Head of the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines of the ERI No. 4, Professor Iryna Sievidova, and Associate Professor of the same department Viktoria Veliieva held an online meeting with students of Kharkiv Lyceum No. 163.

A 2nd year cadet of the ERI No. 2, Tymur Perepelytsia, who was elected chairman of the social issues committee of the Student Council, took part in the IV session of the Student Council of Vinnytsia Region. To the Day of Unity of Ukraine, cadets of the ERI No. 3 organized an exhibition of crafts created by themselves. During the opening, the head of the course, Andrii Proutorov, and private police officer Oleksandra Kucher solemnly read a historical document that was proclaimed on Sofia Square and played a key role in the establishment of Ukraine's independence.

Due to the rocket attack on the city of Sumy on January 22, 2025, the father of the cadet of the Educational and Research Institute No. 1 Yulia Medvid died.
