For freshmen, the first of September is the day when an uncharted and interesting path to knowledge begins. For many, it is the beginning of their studies at the chosen educational institution and the first step into independent life.

The Day of Knowledge was celebrated with solemn events at all locations of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. Head of Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration Serhii Borzov, Head of the Main Department of the National Police in Vinnytsia Region, Police Colonel Ivan Ishchenko, Rector of the University, Police General of the third rank Valerii Sokurenko congratulated the university cadets on the first day of the new academic year.
On the Day of Knowledge, Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was visited by Volodymyr Yuriev, Deputy Head of Khmelnytskyi Regional Administration, Vitalii Melnyk, Head of Kamianets-Podilskyi District Department of the Main Directorate of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in Khmelnytskyi Region, and Vasyl Shkindiuk, Head of Kamianets-Podilskyi District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in Khmelnytskyi Region.
The solemn events on the occasion of the closing of the camp training, presentation of shoulder straps to the 1st year cadets of the Faculties No. 1 and No. 4 and the Day of Knowledge began with the introduction of the University Flag, the State Flag and the performance of the State Anthem of Ukraine.
The cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs continue to help in the manufacture of camouflage equipment for the defenders of Ukraine who are defending our land from the enemy.
As Olena Chernenko, the head of the volunteer center, writes on her Facebook page, "Our Motor Hive is sincerely grateful to the cadets of Sumy branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs for their work and cooperation in making camouflage nets for the Armed Forces of Ukraine."
On the eve of the new academic year, introductory briefings were held with the first-year students of Faculties 2 and 3 by fire safety and labor protection specialists of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs Yurii Chukhrii and Svitlana Hetmanchuk.
Within the framework of the Declaration of Cooperation between Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan (Republic of Poland) and Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Bartosz Betka, Master of Law and Political Science, doctoral student of the Polish university, became the coordinator for communications.
On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Defenders of Ukraine who died in the struggle for independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, lectures dedicated to honoring the fallen heroes were held at all locations of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs.
