On the occasion of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine, sports and patriotic events were held at all locations of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, in which students of the university's Educational and Research Institutes No. 1-4 and Sumy branch took part.
On the Day of Physical Culture and Sports of Ukraine, cadets of the Educational and Research Institutes №№ 1-4, Sumy branch competed in various sports in order to popularize and promote it among young people, develop physical and moral qualities of future employees of the National Police of Ukraine, and select to the national teams of KhNUIA.
Oleksii Serdiuk, Head of the Research Lab for Social and Psychological Support, Accompaniment, and Rehabilitation at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs (KhNUIA), participated in a crucial stakeholder consultation organized by the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). The event focused on veteran reintegration as a key element in developing effective strategies to combat organized crime in Ukraine.
Oleksandra Ponomarenko, psychologist of the psychological support department of the Main Department of the National Police in Vinnytsia region, and Viktoriia Dotsenko, associate professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the ERI №3, conducted a binary lesson for students of the ERI №3 in the discipline “Extreme and Crisis Psychology” on the topic “Principles of psychologist's work with people who have experienced loss”.
For their significant personal contribution to the development of physical culture and sports, promotion of a healthy lifestyle, the following were awarded diplomas of the Executive Committee of Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council: Yehor Skurikhin, a master's student of the ERI No. 1, Roman Pshenychnyi and Yaroslava Kremel, cadets of the ERI No. 1, and Artem Oliinyk, a cadet of the ERI No. 4.
The first meeting of the group was joined by new applicants for higher education who expressed a desire to plunge into the world of criminal law and criminology. The head of the student group, Associate Professor of the Department Yaroslav Lantinov outlined the organizational issues of the scientific association, familiarized the new members with the rules and regulations of its activities.
A master class on Petrykivka painting for higher education students was conducted by the master Tetiana Holban. She told the young people about the history of this type of original art, which is included in the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List and is a visiting card of Ukraine around the world.
The event “Scientific Readings in Memory of Colonel-General of the Internal Service Ivan Vasylovych Shtanko” was attended by Volodymyr Ivantsov, Head of the Department of Organization of Educational and Scientific Training (Doctoral and Postgraduate Studies), Daniil Zinchenko, Associate Professor of the same department, and Volodymyr Bakhmat and Oleksandra Mykhailovska, cadets of the ERI No. 3.
Senior Lecturer of the Department of Humanities and Ukrainian Studies Nataliia Yelnikova has successfully completed the course “Educational Tools for Critical Thinking” on the Prometheus platform. The advanced training was devoted to the leading components of the educational process: educators, students, and learning environment.
As part of the joint project of the OSCE Support Program for Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police of Ukraine, cadets of the ERI ## 1 and 4 Olha Berezhna, Daryna Shevchenko, Danylo Teslia and Vladyslav Bun learned about the main trends and challenges in the field of combating human trafficking.
