Karina Shafieieva, student of the Educational and Research Institute No.5, majoring in D8 «Law», completed an online course of the Council of Europe within the HELP (Human Rights Education for Legal Professionals) program on the topic «Violence against Women and Domestic Violence for Law Enforcement».

A group of scientists from Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, led by Rector Valerii Sokurenko, became a laureate of the Ivan Franko International Prize – 2025, gaining international scientific recognition.

A regular session of the scientific circle of the Department of Legal Support of Entrepreneurial Activity and Financial Security of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 was held under the leadership of Professor Yuliia Kyrychenko.

Members of the scientific circle "Actual Problems of Ukrainian Studies" under the leadership of Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities and Ukrainian Studies Nataliia Kobylko joined the work of the XIX All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference "The Language of War: How Historical Conflicts Changed Vocabulary and Communication".

At the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the ERI No. 5, a regular meeting of the scientific circle was held under the chairmanship of Associate Professor of the Department Yaroslav Lantinov. The online event was timed to the Law Week in Ukraine and Human Rights Day.

Lesson on the topic "Qualification of Criminal Offenses Against Traffic Safety and Operation of Transport" were conducted by Olena Horash, Lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the ERI No. 1, and Yevhen Piliavskyi, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the ERI No. 5.

Professors of the Department of Sociology and Psychology, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 Valentyna Tiurina and Olha Marchenko took part in a number of educational programs.

As part of improving the efficiency of the professional activities of psychologists of penitentiary institutions and pre-trial detention centers, Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology and Psychology of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 Kateryna Mannapova held an interactive lecture on the topic "Resilience as a Psychological Feature of Psycho-Emotional Stability of the Individual".

Students of the Educational and Research Institute No. 5 together with Associate Professor of the Department Svitlana Lozova visited the Kharkiv Scientific and Research Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
