Participants of the School of Scientific Leadership from all structural subdivisions of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part in a meeting within the framework of the global platform United People Global on the topic United for Ukraine. This event was the first in 2023 for United People Global, which was held in a mixed format.

International practice of human rights protection

The Center for Civil Liberties and the International Helsinki Association continue international discussions of human rights defenders in the format of Solidarity Talks. Tetiana Gudz, Head of the Department of Constitutional and International Law of the Faculty № 4 of KhNUIA, and Yevhenia Lohvynenko, Associate Professor of the same department, took part in the discussion of the topic "Falsification of History as a Factor of Human Rights Violations: What Can the International Human Rights Community Do?".

Yuliia Zahumenna, Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law of the Faculty No. 1, took an online advanced training course from the NGO Progressive on the topic "Progressive Teaching: Components of the Higher Education Quality System".

Acquiring knowledge of tactical medicine in the context of first aid skills

The Institute of Postgraduate Education continues to improve the qualifications of lecturers in providing first aid in wartime. On the basis of the National Academy of Internal Affairs, Serhii Zakharchenko, a lecturer of the Institute of Postgraduate Education, was trained in tactical medicine with the participation of instructors (ZPHM Humanitarian and Medical Aid Team, Republic of Poland).

International scientific conference "War and Literature"

Nataliia Kobylko, Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, Faculty № 6, Candidate of Philological Sciences, took part in the International Scientific Conference "War and Literature" organized and held by Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National University of Cherkasy. The event was held in a mixed format: in the classroom and on the Google Meet platform.

Participation in the EQUALS-EU International Webinar on closing the Gender Gap in the Digital Technologies Age

KhNUIA Equal Opportunities team took part in the project webinar "EQUALS-EU: Closing the skills and gender gap in STEM – Where do we stand?", which aimed to present informative updates on the success of establishing gender equality and overcoming the gender gap in the modern European space. EQUALS-EU project affects the work in this direction drew special attention.

Senior Lecturer of the Department of Tactical and Special Physical Training of the Faculty № 3 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, Police Captain Oleksandr Skliar took the course "Academic Integrity: Online Course for Teachers", prepared with the support of the American Council for International Education: ACTR/ACCELS in Ukraine, the Center for Education Quality Assurance at NaUKMA as part of the project "Academic Integrity and Quality Initiative".
