
This was the topic of a scientific and practical conference held at Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, during which modern directions of professional training of law enforcement officers were discussed. The scientific event was initiated by the Department of Postgraduate Studies (Adjuncture) and Doctoral Studies of the university and the NGO “Youth Organization of Emerging Leaders”.

Bohdan Mazur Shooting Championship of Vinnytsia Region was held in Vinnytsia. Vladyslav RUDENKO, a first-year cadet of the ERI #2 of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, took part in the competition and won a gold medal.

For the cadets of the ERI No. 4, a practical lesson was conducted by Roman FURMAN, inspector of the platoon of the 2nd company of the 2nd battalion of the patrol police for Kamianets-Podilskyi district of the Patrol Police Department in Khmelnytskyi region, and employees of the Department of Special Physical Training of the ERI No. 2 - Associate Professor Bohdan LUKIN and lecturer Roman PAVLOV.

During the line-up, the Director of the Educational and Research Institute №1 Vitalii ROMANIUK congratulated the cadets who became winners and prize-winners of sports competitions. The Director presented diplomas for winning the Open Championship of Khmelnytskyi Region WAKO to 2nd year cadet Roman SAVCHUK and 1st year cadet Yelyzaveta KRAVCHENKO.

On behalf of the management of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, an agreement was reached on cooperation with the Department of Legal Support and Control of Kamianets-Podilskyi City Council.

As part of career guidance work, Deputy Director for Educational and Research Activities of the ERI №4 Yurii ONYSHCHENKO introduced the graduating students to the specialties that train specialists for the National Police, and spoke about the benefits of studying at a higher education institution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The General Library of KhNUIA has prepared a biographical video essay “VYSHYVANYI Vasyl, or the life of a sincere Ukrainian”, which is dedicated to the military and political figure, colonel of the Legion of Ukrainian Sich Riflemen and the UPR Army, diplomat and poet Vasyl VYSHYVANYI.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs has lost another brave and courageous warrior who stood up to his last breath to defend his native land. On January 13, 2025, a graduate of the University, Senior Police Lieutenant Vladyslav KUPIN was killed while performing a combat mission to repel the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine near the village of Toretsk, Bakhmut district, Donetsk region. He was the deputy platoon commander of the UPOP No. 1 assault regiment “Safari”.

The open kickboxing championship of Khmelnytskyi region WAKO was held in Khmelnytskyi, in which cadets of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs took part. The cadets demonstrated a high level of physical fitness and skill.

An online meeting of the guarantor of the educational and professional program “Law”, Professor of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the ERI №5 Andrii SHULHA and a representative of the working group on revision and updating of the OPP, Associate Professor Anna NAUMOVA with third-year students of the ERI №5, who are studying under this program, took place.
