The large-scale forum-dialogue ‘Strengthening the Protection of the Rights of Internally Displaced Persons’ was organised at the initiative of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine and with the support of the USAID, which is actively involved in projects aimed at protecting the rights of people affected by internal displacement.

Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs was visited by EUAM Ukraine Gender Adviser Anette Schwitzke (German national), Police Adviser Georgina Magnussen (Danish national) and Training Expert Yuliia Petrova.

A regular meeting of the scientific group ‘Actual Problems of the Theory and History of State and Law’ was held, which addressed a number of issues, in particular, the heroic resistance of the Ukrainian people to the large-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation, academic integrity, etc.

Olha Hetmanets, Head of the Department of Legal Support of Entrepreneurial Activity and Financial Security at the ERI No. 5, took an online course on International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights on the HELP platform. International project manager Olha Kostenko presented the course in detail and noted that it allows for a deeper understanding of the application of international law in armed conflict.

Ihor Ostrovskyi, a senior lecturer of the Department of Special Physical Training of the ERI №2, conducted regular training sessions with a combatant Serhii Vasyliev. This week, the classes were held in the swimming pool and gym of KhNUIA.

Serhii Bortnyk, an inquirer of the inquiry sector of Pryluky District Police Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Chernihiv Oblast, together with Vita Filipska, an associate professor of the Language Training Department of KhNUIA, and Larysa Sazanova, a senior lecturer at the same department, conducted a class on the discipline ‘Foreign Language for Professional Purposes’ for fourth-year cadets of the Educational and Research Institute No. 1.

Professor of the Department of Theory and History of State and Law Viktor Lazariev, Associate Professor Olena Yushkevych, together with representatives of Kharkiv Regional Police - an employee of the Corruption Prevention Department Natalia Rastorhuieva and senior psychologist of the HR sector of KhRU No. 3 Liudmyla Khudiakova conducted a binary lesson for 1st year students of the ERI No. 1.

Hanna Dovhopolova, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities at Sumy Branch of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, completed the online course ‘Academic Integrity: An Online Course for Teachers’ from the American Councils for International Education. The participants got acquainted with the theoretical foundations and effective tools of academic integrity.
