The enemy mercilessly attacked the location of police officers in Kharkiv, who were performing their professional duties. Medics are fighting for their lives every minute without sleep or rest. The situation is tense and difficult.

Mariia Novyk, a lecturer at the Department of Special Police Disciplines and Basic Combined Arms Training of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, conducted a binary class for second-year students majoring in Law Enforcement on the topic ‘Organisation of Public Safety and Order’.

The head of the Department of Tactical and Special Training of the ERI No. 2, Police Major Mykola Borovyk, and the leading specialist of the Institute No. 2, Major Oleksii Mikhno, together with the servicemen of the Operational Purpose Brigade No. 14 ‘Chervona Kalyna’, conducted a binary lesson on the discipline ‘Tactical and Special Training’ for cadets of several study groups.

Professor Nataliia Pavlenko, Professor of the Department of Social and Economic Disciplines, held an open lecture on Economic Statistics for students of the ERI No. 4, who are studying under the educational programme Accounting and Taxation.

Professor of the Department of Constitutional and International Law and Human Rights Andrii Voitsikhovskyi took part in the training ‘Peculiarities of Appealing to the UN Human Rights Committee’, organised by Kharkiv Human Rights Group with the support of the Center for Civil Liberties and Kyiv School of Human Rights and Democracy.

The staff of Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs expresses condolences to the family and friends of Police Colonel Andrii Matviienko, who was killed in a Russian strike. He was the deputy head of the Human Resources Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Kharkiv region.

Oleksii Serdiuk, Head of the Research Laboratory of Social and Psychological Support, Assistance and Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the ERI №3, made a presentation on ‘European experience of police cooperation with the public’ and took part in the discussion platform ‘Organisation of cooperation between the National Police and public formations for the protection of public order and the state border under martial law’.

It was conducted by Yevhen Zozulia, a lecturer at the Department of Criminalistics and Forensic Science of the Educational and Research Institute №1 of KhNUIA, together with Vitalii Kavkal, Head of the Human Rights Sector of Kamianets-Podilskyi District Department of the Main Department of the National Police in Khmelnytskyi Region, and Albina Melnyk, Senior Inspector of the Sector.

Senior Lecturer of the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology of the ERI № 5 Yulia Mytrofanova held a conversation with second-year students studying Law on military-patriotic education of youth. The educational event was held within the framework of the discipline ‘Criminal Law’.

This was the theme of a workshop on the prevention of professional burnout, which was attended by Tetiana Ponomarenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities of Sumy Branch of KhNUIA, and Snizhana Dudchenko, a student majoring in Law Enforcement.
